You Can’t Predict When Something Might Happen at Your House
I have been talking about home security with many homeowners. I am working to acquire some insight on different ways our homes become at risk. One of the questions I asked them was if they had ever experienced suspicious activity at home. It could have been robbery, broken windows, a suspicious person – whatever. I was surprised that almost every single person had at least one story to tell. Most of the stories eventually led them to buy a burglar alarm. I have learned that Security in Lake Forest is one of the best options.
One gentleman informed me that he had been home for the afternoon one day, but left to go pick his son up from basketball practice. After they returned roughly 10 minutes later, one of his windows was shattered and several things were missing from inside. He suspected that he had been watched, and the thief knew once he left the house. Another mother of 3 informed me that she answered the door for a person who claimed to be a salesperson. After the man finished speaking, he asked if he could talk it over with her inside the house. She said no thank you, and the man replied by asking if he could still come inside to use her phone. Since the man was being persistent, she declined again and closed the door in his face.
All of us have had encounters with suspicious situations and people. Some experiences are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am getting helps me figure out what motivates people to get a security system. The woman said she chose to get one the next day.
I have heard plenty of identical stories from other families. You never know what will happen on a given day. I am confident these people did not wake up thinking something abnormal would happen that day. It really highlights the value in always being proactive.
